Wiseacre
This is the word which is all about conceit !! A smarty-pants, an upstart know-it-all, especially one who makes insolent conceited wisecracks all the time. That's all about Wise-acre. And if you are a wise-acre .... you know it all . Lets now look at its etymology... which is a bit shady but the common belief is it is derived from Middle Dutch wijsseggher which means 'soothsayer'. And it's pronuciation goes like \waɪzˌeɪkə\ ... yes, the 'r' at the end is silent.
Dictionary meaning (noun) -- a person who possesses or affects to possess great wisdom.
Example sentence -- I want wise people but not wiseacres in this new project meeting.
Fun description -- Very easy to become a wiseacre in any field of subject. Just play with that neat deceptive tricks and pray that you don't get caught affecting the knowledge ( well, don't rule out the possibility of getting thrashed the hard way eventually someday). Anyways.... what will you do if you are a wiseacre ?
1. You go to the interview and speak insanely out of this world stuffs in reply to whatever question the interviewer asks you. Let him doubt his knowledge not yours :P
2.If you wanna be one of those spirituality-religion affecting people then just grow a large white beard and put on a white robe (matching color combination works :P) then sit under an huge ancient peepal tree. Eventually you will get your followers. And about preaching ??? Well... whatever comes in your mind will do (it's all about getup :P)!!
3.And here comes my personal best wiseacre artist (modern-artist to be precise).Wake up at four O'clock in the morning. Move to your nearby park with a big canvas in you hand. And don't forget to bring a huge set of colors and brushes of different sizes at your disposal. Don't dare watch anyboby else ... it's you, your nature, your brush and your canvass.Then start scratching lines and pouring colors while others watch you in awe!! Trust me anything is a masterpiece as far as modern art is concerned :P
