#13-- Christmas-tree

Christmas-tree

First of all , Merry Christmas to all of my readers. Hope you had a great day and munched lots of cookies and increased that extra kilogram that you were trying to shed for long !! Alright... so as it is Christmas time so lets talk about this very special and funny word (ya..the hyphen makes it a single word) today . Now talking about the derivation of this word is tough as its not that clear either till now and there are various opinions so just skip it and obviously we don't need any pronunciation kit today because it's so obviously obvious.

Dictionary meaning (verb) -- To fill in answers to test questions you don't know randomly, as though adding ornaments to a Christmas tree.
Example sentence --- You must study well and shouldn't christmas-tree your upcoming chemistry exam !!

Fun description -- Wish I could just christmas-tree and pass every exam but alas :(  !! Anyways... lets not talk about me but talk about the ways we can fun use this awesome word. Well, this is the right word to insult your class topper who despite of getting 94.5% percent marks roams around giving that constipated look because he couldn't get that point five percent extra. Let me tell you what to do ... just go over to him and say -- " Man, you just do christmas-tree in every exam and bag the highest marks, I wish I were as lucky as you are" and believe me his constipated look will now become a running-stomach look that you don't wanna forget. So, see how useful this word is.
By the way ... let me tell you a fact .... we had that general knowledge test with multiple choice questions when I was in class nine ( ya... still so vivid) and there were 25 questions of which I knew only 3 and for the rest 22.. I did a blind christmas-tree. Result out.... (BOOM)... I got the highest !! What are you kidding me ?? NO... I am not !

P.S.-- Just remember my class nine g.k fluke and keep doing chistmas-tree .... believe me ... someday the world will be ours !! :)

#12-- Jactation

Jactation

Pretty simple word with two related meanings.... ya,we will get back to it . Well, etymologically jactation comes from  Latin "jactatare" which means 'to throw' and the pronunciation of the word goes like \jak-tey-shuhn\ !!

Dictionary meaning (noun) --1. Restless tossing of the body
                                         2. Boasting and bragging
Example sentence -- His headache after the semester exams had grown so severe that he tossed this way and that way by jactation.

Fun description -- As there are two meanings so I will give two situational descriptions for both of them !!
Fun usage for the first meaning goes like this ::---  You got that call in the wee hours of morning t from which a husky grey voice comes up and says " You are going to live only for the next 7 days and after that I will send you to hell ... just get your wishes fulfilled as soon as possible  as you have very less time left" and then the frightened you yelling on your receiver " hallo... haalo... haaallloooo" but no use as the line is already disconnected . Then you lay down on your bed ... trying to sleep but in vain as whenever you close your eyes you see a 7ft 200 pounds man with black mask squeezing your throat to death with his 50pound arm !! That's when you start tossing on your bed in jactation !!
(well.... needless to mention that a running stomach can also keep you jactating for long:P)
Now the fun situation for the second meaning is something like this -- You are newly admitted in that college and a guy came up and sits besides you and starts speaking -- " hey...  I am xyz and you know what .....actually I was not in mood to get admitted here. Just watch out this whole place... it's is so filthy... man its has no standard . Even my bathroom is way cleaner than this classroom. Actually this college was built by my great grandfather ... so you know just keeping him in mind I am here. By the way did you see my new car.... its shiny man... the new Porsche out there in the market.... and .... and ....... and....."  and on the other side you are frustrated and irritated to the core ( wish you had a pair of cotton ear bud  to get rid of his superfluous jactation)

P.S.-- I don't wanna do any more jactation here.... it's time for you to jactate about it !! :)

#11--chicanery

chicanery

All you tricksters out there ... don't feel dejected even if your tricks are not working because now there is a word for you. Yes,  this word is dedicated to all of them who don't prefer the hard way and always search shortcut's for easy gains . Etymologically this word comes from French chicaner meaning '' to use tricks " and German schicken meaning "to arrange" and the pronunciation of the word goes like "shih-key-nuh-ree". Now lets head to the meaning.

Dictionary meaning (noun)-- The use of tricks to deceive someone (usually to extract money from them)
Example sentence -- Even if you resort to such chicanery you will be able to extract only 55 cents from me ... that all I have in my bank account !!

Fun description -- Such a pleasant word to make peoples pockets light . Yes.... I support chicanery but with bias . Remember that big fat businessman in your neighborhood who has always parked that posh car infront of your door knowing that you won't get it !! Its times to use some nice underhand chicanery to get his money out and get him in line. Remember that rich bully at your school who never got into the school bus and gave you that condescending look ... I wish you knew not only the word but the use of chicanery then. Lastly remember the cute girl you were going to propose but you backed off because her personal bathroom was of the size of your bedroom. Now... this time you don't wanna use any chicanery ..... you loved the her didn't you ?? :)

P.S. --  Well... against whoever you use chicanery I don't mind... but please don't use it against me!! (and I don't have much bank balance either :P)
