#15--Mithridate

Strong word. I wish something like this were really there at our disposal. Well, who knows may be some day it may come to reality :)
Anyways the pronunciation of the word goes like \mith-ri-deyt\  (yes, pretty obvious).
Well,  there is one interesting thing about this word and that is this word is actually an eponym (the name derived from a person). Mithridate originates from the name of Mithridates VI, a legendary king who had an immunity to poisons (now you have already guessed the meaning I hope)




Dictionary meaning(noun) -- A confection believed to contain an antidote to every poison.
Example sentence -- No mithridate can alleviate your disease because this disease is your own deliberate creation !!




Fun description --  May be mithridate can cure each and every disease that mankind has ever come across but as I say there are always exceptions. 
Exception 1 --- LOVE ..... ( I swear it's a disease... atleast it has become now one ) !! friendfinder.com, easylove.com, comgeturlifepartner_in_a_click.com, soulmate.com, lovebirds.com .... I mean the list just doesn't end.What the hell !! Let alone the blind dates, love net, love or cash , splitsville etc.etc. etc. .People these days are not love struck but love starved. Pity , pity , pity. Trust me ... when the disease is called "love-starvation"... mithridate fails bigtime.
Exception 2 --- REALITY SHOWS ..... It's more dangerous and more contagious than any goddamn virus our mother earth has witnessed. Big Boss ( WTF as I say ) .... This show is the limit of perversion but we seem to be such  voyeuristic animals that this shit gets sky high T.R.P. I bet mithridate just don't wannna get in this way.
Exception 3 -- POLITICS ..... ah !! what can i say !! When election is at the brink...... the false allegations ... and to counter those again another set of false statements and to counter those another set of false promises and to counter those .... and to counter that .... and to counter that.... and it's just a never ending vicious cycle. Now enters another bacteria named "scam". Mitridate says " I would rather just die than cure this one" !!




P.S.--- Whatever be the exceptions ...... for now just take this post as a mithridate :)
