Alterity


This is a simple word. Pretty easy to guess the meaning too. Yes, you guessed it right...this word happens to come from "alter" meaning "to make or become different" and its pronunciation goes like \awl-TAIR-uh-tee\ ....as simple as that !!


Dictionary Meaning(noun)--- otherness; specifically : the quality or state of being radically alien to the conscious self or a particular cultural orientation
Example sentence -- I don't wanna wear any formal dress at office ... I am practicing alterity !!




Fun description -- This word is one of the funniest words if you comtemplate. Well., take take a look at the dictionary meaning again. See the words "radically alien".... ya, that's the catch.
